DIAGNOSIS : head somewhat raised between antennal insertion; eye finely facetted; outer lobe of maxillary palp long, with dense brush of hairs at the end; prothorax with tubercle; fore coxal cavity closed posteriorly; scutellum relatively large, triangular; metasternum with scent pore at posterior end; usually metallic color. Male with six visible abdominal segment while female has only five.
