Body metallic blue-green; head metallic yellowish-green except aclypeus that is castaneous; antennae atropurpureus thige with chalybeate; prothorax, scutellum and elytra metallic greenish; outer marginal half of the latter metallic bluish, border with sutural greenish stripe oblique, tapering towards apex; undersurfaces metallic green with thin whitish pubescence; coxae metallic green; femora fusco-chalybeate; tibiae and tarsus fuscous.

Head with a median groove between antennal insertion, area in between feebly raised, concave; mandible short; labrum and aclypeus extended to middle of mandible; frons rectangular, subglabrous in front, finely striolate around antennal support; gena long, half as deep as eyes; gula transversely rugose; neck coarsely punctate. Antenna longer than body in both sexes, 2 X as long as body in , 1.5 X in ; scape weakly and transversely rugulose, canaliculate near base; segment 3 as long as 4, 2 X as long as scape; 5 a little longer than 4; successive segments gradually shorten. Prothorax longer than broad; lateral spine small but acute, a little behind middle; entire dorsal surface made up of fine striolate, impunctate, impubis; apex and base with no less than 8 - 9 transverse plication, subparallel and at point crossing each other or converge; pronotum with many fine striolate that meet at a median point in front of middle; strigulae behind this point long, median one almost parallel to body axis and excurved, outer one more displaced at angle and evenly curved; strigulae anterior of the same point short, straight; entire pattern symmetrical along longitudinal body axis; this pronotal striation somewhat disorientated in , the basal transverse striation also obsolete and so is the longitudinal subparallel median striolation behind the point. Scutellum broad-based; semicircular; apex depressed. Elytron very much elongated, 7.5 X as long as broad; side very weakly incurved at middle, gradually tapering at 1/6 from apex; dehiscent at 1/3 apex; apex conjointly rounded in ; in , tip of sutural margin curved outward meeting marginal one producing an angulated angulation.

Entire head metallic blue-green except mouthparts, labrum and aclypeus that is tawny; antennae purplish-black, scape with metallic greenish tinge; Prothorax metallic blue-green; middle of pronotum with atropurpureus tomentose patch; scutellum metallic-green; elytra with subsutural longitudinal greenish stripe flanked by two purpulish-blue stripe, the outer one half as wide as the elytron while the sutural stripe narrow, 1/6 of entire elytron width; undersurfaces intense metallic green with slight yellowish tinge; legs chalybeate; hind femora with a violaceous tinge.

Head hardly raised between antennal insertion, concavity is more of a inclinate antennifer; median groove deep; clypeus with several strong carinae, punctate in front; lateral margin of frons emarginate, side of median with longitudinal carinae; sulcus with clypeus in front sometimes distinctive, T-shaped with one arm prolonged as median groove. Antenna longer than body in both sexes, 1/3 longer in ; segment 3 distinctively longer than 4. Prothorax rectangular with lateral margin obscurely convex; lateral spine a little behind middle; dorsal surface entirely striolate, symmetrical; apex with a transverse band of plication, interspace wide; median with many longitudinal striolate that abruptly excurved at anterior and terminate before basal margin; those of median strigulae oblique into transverse striation at side of pronotum; interpsace of median striation tomentose forming a roundish pubescent patch in the centre. Elytron 6 X as long as broad; side parallel; apex dehiscent at 1/5 of apex; sutural margin curved outwards meeting the marginal one off medianly; disc coarsely granulated on greenish stripe but becoming finer towards apex; bluish stripe finely granulate and pubescent.

Metallic green with golden tinge : frons, gena and temple metallic green; antenna reddish brown; antennifer castaneous; prothorax including lateral tubercle and prosternum solid metallic green; pronotum with faint non-metallic aropurpureus patch; scutellum pitchy with aeneous tinge; suteral half of elytra aneous, the outer margin of the greenish stripes meet before the apex, inner margin with a faint narrow bluish-green stripe near suture; marginal half metallic green but without distinctive boundary; under surfaces metallic yellowish-green with angentate pubescence; legs reddish brown; under side of fore femur bright cinnamous.

Head slightly raised between anternnal insertion; median groove deeper on vertex than on frons, ending little after upper eye lobe with two short carinae; upper frons strongly striate; anterior of frons with transverse carinae, suture with clypeus obscure; the latter glabrous, only sparsely punctulate at posterior margin; temple corrugated; gula transversely wrinkled. Antenna longer than elytra, 1/3 longer in ; scape coarsely punctate, dorsal with a sulcus extending half way from base; 3 much longer than 4; 4 - 6 subequal, remaining shorten gradually. Prothorax as long as wide; constricted at both end; apical constriction transversely plicate, subparallel; pronotum with granulo-rugose patch, side margin narrower in front; side of patch intricately striolate; base of pointed tubercle globrous; blunt protuberance between tubercle and apical margin. Scutellum with interrupted crescentic carinae. Elytron 6 X as long as broad; parallel; extended beyond abdomen; about 1/6 of apical margin gradually narrow; tip dehiscent and pointed. Legs : fore and mid femora weakly or feebly punctate with fairly large but shallow puncture.

Distribution : Peninsular Malaysia (Bukit Kutu, Selangor); Sarawak; Singapore.

Known habitat : old secondary peat swamp, renewed logging.

Host : most probably Nyatoh (Palaqium spp.)

Note : Basic morphological characters (e.g. granulose patch on pronotum, wrinkles on the side of this patch) of this species are almost like C. cinnyris and C. collinum, except for distinctive different coloration and dehiscent tip of elytra, being more golden-green in color and the outer margin of the stripes meet before the apex in thomsoni.

Body elongated; metallic blue-green : mandible and frons metallic green; gena and temple metallic blue-green with purplish tinge; antennae anthracine; pronotum with violaceous patch in the middle, concave sideway; remaining part prothorax metallic green with purplish tinge; scutellum metallic green; side of elytra and sutural margin atropurpureus with bluish tinge; intervening space metallic green, about 1/3 of width; legs anthracine, underside of fore femur fuscous; sternum green with dense argentate pubescence.

Head exerted, as long as prothorax; raised and deeply concave between antennal insertion; disc feebly striate, with a deep median groove terminating at a transerve carina anterior of frons; the latter sunken, subglabrous; clypeus oblique, sparsely punctate; ventral lower eye lobe circumscribe by several subparallel plications; or carinae. Antenna longer than body, 2 X as long in , 114 longer in ; sparely fringe beneath, bristles shorter than diameter of segment; scape punctate, widen distally with extoapical spine; 6 - 10 feebly angulate at apex in . Prothorax constricted at base and apex; constrictions plicate in 8 - 9 lines at apex and 5 - 6 lines at base, demidiate dorsally; side with a sharp tubercle, preceded by a hemispheric protuberance; pronotum with a granulose patch on middle of disc with concave side margin, anterior and posterior margin reaching constriction; area beside patch subtransversely striolate. Scutellum triangular; apex pointed; slightly idented with a groove at posterior. Elytron 6 X as long as broad; parallel; 1/5 of apical end gradually conjointly rounded, at most slightly separated at suture; densely granulo-punctate. Undersurfaces finely punctate with dense pubescence; first abdominal segment trapezoid, much wider at base; 2 - 3 quadrate; resulting 1 and 2 abdominal margin angulate. Legs : half of hind femur extended beyond elytra in , only slightly extended in .

Body mixture of atropurpureus and metallic green : head and thorax basically fuscous with metallic blue-green tinge depending on direction of light; mandible fuscous; 3 - 4 antennal segment black, remaining fuscous; antennifer castaneous; thoraxic spine fuscous, tinge with metallic green; scutellum metallic green; external half of elytra atropurpureus, with a faint metallic green strip running along elytral margin from the humeral end; sutural half metallic green with a narrow atropurpureus stripe near suture, both slightly excurved at base, leaving a oblique metallic green sutural stripe near scutellum and tapering 1/3 of length from base; prosternum fuscous tinge with metallic green; pleura and sternum metallic green with dense angetate pubescence.

Head raised between antennal insertion, acutely convex; posterior end of inner antennifer with a blunt but pointing protuberance; frons with a deep median sulcate flanked by subparallel and interrupted sulci, anterior slightly dented in middle; clypeus oblique, leaving two foveae beside eyes, suture conspicuous; ventral part of gena and temple irregularly corrugated; gula transervely corrugated with few bristles sparsely apart. Antenna longer than body, 2 X as long in ; scape finely punctate with a superficial lateral groove that dilated towards extoapical spine; 3 noticably excurved, thickened at apex, longer than 4; 4 - 10 subequal; 11 longest; 7 - 11 compressed dorsal-ventrally. Prothorax with sharp conical tubercle at side; front of tubercle slightly swollen; constricted at both end; apical constriction 1.5 X wider than basal, transverse plications dimidiate, usually with a tapering oval-shaped rugulose area in middle of disc; pronotal surface between constriction slightly elevated, posterior margin concave and transervely corrugated; pronotum with two granulo-rugulose renifrom area, distinctively marked off by wrinkle at side and middle; proternum coarsely punctate. Elytron 6 X as long as broad with prominent humeralis; wider at base, declivent and rounded apically; finely punctate on purplish area and coarsely punctate on metallic green surface; greenish stripe near scutellum hatched with short subparallel transverse sulci. Legs slender; hind femur extend beyond elytra; fore and mid femora coarse rugose-punctate perapically; ventral of fore femur with numerous broad but shallow punctures; 2/3 apical half of hind femora cylindrical, baculiform; hind coxa raised above abdomen, large, subglobose.

Body metallic blue-green; mandible, frons, gena, temple and neck metallic blue-green; antenna pitchy with purplish tinge on 3 - 5; antennifer crineous; pronotum mixture of metallic green and fuscous; side of prothorax including tubercle and prosternum metallic blue-green; scutellum black; inner half of elytra metallic green, without dark suteral stripe; marginal half atropurpureus slightly tinge with metallic green; undersurface metallic green with dense agentate pubescence; legs fuscous; mid and hind tibiae with purplish tinge.

Head as long as prothorax; inner mandibular margin sinuate, toothed just in fornt of labrium; clypeus scarcely punctate, concave; frons sparsely punctate with a moderate fovea near ocular margin; slightly raised between antennal insertion, very convex; median furrow extended posteriorly forming two short longitudinal ridges between upper eye lobe; lower ocular margin not circumscribe with plication but rugulae decussate instead. Antenna with rows of spine beneath; longer than body, 2 X as long as body in , 1/2 X longer in ; scape subcylindrical, coarsely punctate, a deep notch at base or fossulate; 3 thickened apically subequal to 4; last segment 2 X as long as segment 10 in , the same length in . Prothorax constricted at base, transversely plicate; middle and anterior of disc with granulo-striate subellipsoid surface, intervening area subtransverse plicate; middle patch divided medianly by coarse interrupted wrinkles, anterior patch right in middle of apical constriction; side wrinkled with plication circumscribe base of lateral tubercle; the latter glabrous and pointed; protuberance in front of tubercle slighly striae; prosternum somewhat plicate. Scutellum finely striate-punctate; rounded apically. Elytron 7 - 8 X as long as broad; subparallel; tip pointed, dehiscent; donsely granulo-punctate; not extended beyond last abdominal segment in .

Abdomen as wide as elytra. Legs : fore femur feebly punctate; mid femur more heavily and coarsely punctate; hind femur extend well beyond last abdominal segment, widen preapically; first hind tarsal segment compressed, longer than the remaining united.

Note : Antennal scape with a distince notch at base, lateral sulcus not obvious; scutellum black and finely striate-punctate. Very similar to ceycinum except that the median atropurpureus patch is divided longitudinally.

Chloridolum ceycinum PASCOE

Chloridolum ceycinum Pascoe, 1869, Proc. Zool. Soc., ser 3, 3 : 587 (Singapore). - Aurivillius, 1912, Coleopt. Cat., 39 : 314.

Body elongated, dark metallic blue-green : entire head metallic blue-green, with golden tinge on mandible and gena; antennae black with purplish tinge; pronotum with two violaceous cordate markings; scutellum atroceruleous; external half of eltyra and a narrow sutural stripe atroceruleous, the middle metallic green; meso- and metasternum metallic green with dense argentate Pubescence; legs chalybeate.

Head with a median groove that ended in front of frons and a little behind posterior margin of upper eye lobe; clypeus oblique with frons, convex; frons sunken or hollowed out, leaving two ocular ridges at sides, punctulate near median groove or else glabrous; ventral of gena and lower ocular margin striate-punctate; vertex raised between antennal insertion, concave, only weakly striate; neck closely punctulate. Antenna 2 X as long as body ; 1/3 to 1/2 longer in ; scape rugulo-punctate with a sharp ectoapical spine.

Prothorax with a sharp lateral tubercle, a blunt protuberance in front; pronotum with two granulose patch, a subelliptical one on middle of apical constriction, the cordate patch in middle with posterior end touching basal constriction; remaining area subtransversely plicate; two laterad protuberance a little before basal margin. Scutellum acuductate to granulose. Elytron 6 X as long as broad; gradually narrow towads apex; tip pointed, dehiscent; granulo-punctate. Undersurfaces closely punctulate, pubescent. Legs : fore and mid femora subequal, strongly punctate; hind femur 2 X as long as the former.

Known habitat : old secondary peat swamp forest

Note :  very similar to borneense except the purplish on pronotum is not divided, the frons sunken, the antennal scape has a sharp ectoapical spine, posterior end of pronotum has two protuberance of side of median.
