Diagnostic characters : head elongated behind eyes; frons with a crescentric sulcus and a median glabrous stripe extending to vertex; eyes deeply emarginated or almost divided; antennae much longer than body, fringed beneath in , shorter or barely reaching elytral apex in ; antennal segment 3 longest and incurvate, segment 3 - 4 noduse apically, 9 - 10 produced externally; prothorax slightly longer than broad, constricted at apex and base; pronotum depressed, transverse corrugation irregular, sometimes with flexous ridges; elytra densely pubescent, producing variable petterns according to lighting especially the darker dwi-oblong patches near to apex.

Body piceous to fuscous red; maxillary and labial palpi castaneous; head with tawny pubescence on area between antennal support, vertex and anterior of neck; entire antennae black, sometimes castaneous in ; antennal cilia ochraceous with reddish tinge; prothorax and basal half of elytra fuscous, tinge with castaneous towards apex, pubescence yellowish- argentate; disc of elytra with ill-defined patches of darker or lighter fuscous and slivery longitudinal patches according to incident of light, each with a prominent geminate oblong darker fuscous patch behind middle; undersurfaces reddish fuscous, densely clothed with pubescence of the same color as on elytra; legs castaneous, more reddish in .

Head elongated behind eye, horizontal; mandible falciform, dorsal carinate, external margin feebly emarginate before molar; labrum and clypeus sunken; frons oblique, anterior margin elevated, middle depressed with a crescentric sulcus behind; gena short, 1/3 as deep as eye, lower margin protrude latero­anterior; gula hollow out in front, concave; a median sclcus between antennal insertion that extenuate posteriorly into a median glabrous stripe alone vertex and neck; antennifer raised, inner boarder dilated, almost contiguous medianly; eye divided; temple porcate, less distinctive in ; neck granulate to granulo­striate. Antenna 1.5 X longer in , shorter or at most slightly longer in ; dorsal entirely bare or at most sparsely pubescent in both sexes; ventrally fringed on segment 3 - 8 in , scape twice the diameter of following segment, coarsely punctate and asperate in , only punctate in ; 3 incurved, 2.5 X as long as scape or same length as 4 + 5 combined; 4 slightly shorter than 5, as long as scape; 6 - 11 deplanate; 6 - 10 dentate ectoapically in . Prothorax constricted at apex and base; the former much narrower than the later; the widest part at 1/3 from base, as wide as elytra; anterior of lateral side with a protuberance, posterior with congregated chalaza; disc transversely but irregularly wrinkled; pronotum generally with a median raised pubescent , surface, flanked by longitudinal glabrous impression or goffered, either broad­squarish, intricate or hatched; side of middle with longitudinal flexous ridges; prosternum transversely plicate. Elytron 5 X as long as broad; parallel at basal half, gradually narrow towards apex, roundly truncate with a sutural spine and produced angular tooth; side not much deflexed, overhanging over abdomen; disc with two obscure costiform line dividing elytron into 3 parts, densely pubescent and evenly punctate. Legs strongly compressed; fore femora wider at base and middle, gradually narrower towards apex; middle and hind femora subfusiform, ventral margin linear; fore and middle femora of rugulose; dorsal apical half of all femora in planate with two carinae at side, rounded in ; fore tibiae curved.

Known habitat : secondary riverine forest, facing primary forest on higher hill slope; near village; old secondary peat swamp forest, found under Meranti logs.

Host : Hopea, Millettia, Parashorea, Pentacme, Shorea; Dipterocarpus (Gressitt & Rondon, 1970).

Body fuscous to pitchy with fulvo-argentate pubescence; head, prothorax, entire antennae and undersurfaces fuscous, usually with a reddish tinge; elytra reddish fuscous, pubescence fulvo-argentate, glistening slivery and dull fuscous patterns together with darker dwi-oblong patches less distinvtive; metasternum with luteous pile; legs brownish castaneous.

Head horizontal; dorsal of mandible not strongly carinate but deeply notched at postero-ventral of base; frons oblique, suture with clypeus obscure, flat with a shallow A-shaped fissure behind; gula concave, depression semicircular and pilose; antennal insertion widely separated; frons, antennifer and vertex very pubescent; the later planate; neck elongated, with two obscure protuberance side of median; temple and ventral of neck transversely rugose, parallel. Antenna 1.5 X as long as body in , shorter than body in ; not fringed ventrally except on segment 7 & 8 of ; scape asperate and reticulo-punctate in , only punctate in ; segment 3 twice as long as scape in both sexes, shorter than 4 + 5 combined; 3 - 5 or 3 - 6 aspersus and slightly asperate in ; 3 - 11 complanate. Prothorax  longer than broad in , shorter in ; constricted at both ends, much narrower at apex; disc rugose, strongly impressed at middle; side of median with longitudinal glabrous impression or goffered, usually broad­squarish and slightly hatched; two longitudinal flexous ridges side of median. Elytron 5.5 X as long as broad; parallel at base and narrow at apex; transversely truncate with a sutural spine and weak angular tooth. Undersurfaces : metasternum including epipleura of metathorax extremely pilose. Legs : all femora punctulate and densely pubescent; hind femora extended beyond elytral apex in .
