antennae brownish castaneous with sparse ashey pubescence; pubescent
on elytra argentate, irregularly arranged, in small scattered
patches; disc of elytra with 2 oval glabrous impubis patches
behind middle; undersurfaces pitchy with moderate ashey pubescence;
femora fuscous; tibiae castaneous.
Head exserted;
mandible carinate at middle of dorsal; frons oblique with 2
crescentric sulci side of median that united with median groove
between antennal insertion; antennifer strongly deplanate; a short
median groove behind the latter follow by a deep pit at posterior
margin of upper eye lobe; lower eye lobe large, triangular with the
anterior boarder slightly notched; gula raised between eye, concave
producing a deep wide sulcus with ventral part of neck. Antenna longer than body in , segment 8 almost reaching elytral
apex; shorter in , terminal segment extended to posterior margin of
impubis blotch; scape short, not reaching apical margin of prothorax,
dorsal surface canaliculate near base; 3 as long as scape; 4 & 5
subequal, shorter than 3; 6 - 11 strongly complanate; 6 - 10 produced externally and dentate ectoapically in
, only
feebly anglate ectoapically in .
Prothorax a little
longer than broad; widest at middle; side concave; apex and base
with a transverse groove each; pronotum subpubescent, median
oblongly raised with flexuous edge; laterodorsal rugose; side and
ventral of prothorax pubescent, not distinctively rugose but more
like obscure protuberance; anterior of prosternum with a deep
transverse groove and a shallow one behind near to fore coxae;
ventral surface roughen, weakly and irregularly carinate; fore
intercoxal process wide; posterior end declivent, rounded. Elytron
4.5 X as long as broad; parallel at 2/3 from base, gradually
curved at 1/3 from apex or behind impubis blotch; dehiscent at tip;
truncation transverse but short; sutural spine distinctive in ;
disc with a pointed tubercle side of suctellum; dented or sunken
behind scutellum; sutural half flat and planate, marginal half
concave; pubescence caespitose into irregular patches, tense to
concentrate on outer margin and apex; a impubis patch behind middle,
sparsely punctate, punctures different sizes and piliferous;
anterior of this patch coarsely but sparsely punctate. Legs
: compressed; subfusiform with apex more clavate; external side
of femora with a carina each, but more distinctive on middle and
hind pair; tibiae linear, very pubescent and setaceous.
