DIAGNOSIS : head short; frons vertical; eyes large, prominent; finely faceted, not extended onto frons; antennae longer than body in both sexes; scape carinate latero-dorsally; prothorax cylindrical, unarmed at side; elytra elongated, usually parallel-sided front coxae globular, its cavity rounded externally; mid coxal cavity close to epimeron externally.
