Diagnostic characters : head raised between antennal insertion; eye not strongly notched into frons; frons almost parallel-sided except for a short emargination; antennae longer than body; cross section of each segment rectangular with rounded edges; segment 3 broadly canaliculate; prothorax wider than head, constricted at base and apex, side rounded; elytra wider than prothorax, gradually narrow towards apex and conjointly rounded; legs peduncle-clavate.

Labrum castaneous; aclypeus and antennal condyle ochraceous; head pitchy tinge with chalybeate, including mandible; gula with long, erected unciform whitish bristles; antennae black with metallic violaceous tinge; pronotum glossy purplish black tinge with metallic blue-green; latero-ventral of prothorax metallic blue-green, not glossy; scutellum metallic blue-green; elytra dull purplish black, disc with a submedian metallic yellowish blue-green stripe; meso- and metasternum metallic blue-green, the former with velutineous whitish pubescence; abdomen mixture of purplish and metallic blue-green according to incident of light, thinly covered with whitish pubescence; denser on 2 & 3 abdominal segment giving a slivery lustre at posterior; legs black, clavated portion of femora ochraceous, leaving apical tip and peduncle black.

Generally not pubescent. Head acutely oblique from vertex; aclypeus; prominent, corneous; clypeus roughten and raised, short, oblique from frons; the latter planate, with a deep median groove that terminate before posterior margin of upper eye lobe; side only feebly notched by frontal ocular; neck half the length of entire head, punctulate, glossy. Antenna longer than body, 1/3 longer in ; stout; scape short, gradually widen to apex, carinate latero-dorsally; 2 - 5 fringed ventrally; ectoapical of 3 - 9 with a stout acicular bristles; segment 5 - 7 somewhat quadrangular, cross section of each segment roundly-edged rectangular; 3 twice as long as 4; 8 - 11 slender, cylindrical; 3 longest, 2.5 X as long as scape; broadly canaliculate dorsally; terminal segment appendiculate, appendicula unciform, setaccous. Prothorax broader than head; biconstricted at apex, forming a broad, convex, glabrous, transverse annular band, followed by a wide transverse groove; base acutely constricted, constriction transverse, rugulose; area between base and apical constriction dilated, side convex; pronotum with a roundish portuberance side of median, coarsely punctate; disc glossy, punctate except a basimedian patch and another latero-anterior glabrous, patch at each side; prosternum densely and finely punctulate giving it a non-glossy look. Scutellum parallel-sided at basal half, apical half obliquely meet at angle; punctate. Elytron 5 X as long as broad; gradually narrow towards apex; apex conjointly rounded, sutural tip angulate; disc densely puncto-striate; outer border of greenish submedian stripe meet at sutural tip, inner border meet at 2/5 from apex; punctures on the purplish part finer. Undersurfaces: sulcus between episternum of metathorax and adjacent sterna deep and wide; sterna and abdominal segment closely and densely punctulate. Abdomen: first segment subequal to 2+3 combined, impubis. Legs : femora strongly peduncle-clavate; clavated portion glabrous, glossy; tibiae strongly laterally compressed.
