Diagnostic
characters : head with a median groove between antennal insertion; antennifer
subacute and hardly raised; frons oblique; antennae very much shorter than body
in ; basal segments dilated, apical segments gradually narrow and serrate in
; prothorax longer than broad, rounded at sides, base deeply constricted, apex
with a transverse annular broad depression; elytra planate above, stongly
dehiscent and attenuate posteriorly and submedianly acuminate at apex; femora
peduncle clavate; first abdominal segment constricted at base, as long as 2+3
united.

Head glossy black with purplish tinge; antennal
scape glossy castaneous; segrnent 2 and basal 2/3 of following segment helvus
with glistering golden-helvus pubescence; 1/3 apical segment 3 and entire segment
4 - 11 black; inner margin of 4 - 6 with dense blackish tomentum; prothorax
glossy black with metallic purplish tinge at centra and metallic green near
base; anterior of pronotum with a broad transverse band of dense yellowish
pubescence; scutellum ashey white; elytra with a triangular transperant yellow
patch at centre edged periphery by metallic purplish-piceous, somewhat metallic
greenish near scutellum; sterna black with chalybeate tinge; abdomen pitchy,
tinge with chalybeate; femora, tibiae and tarsus of two front pairs castaneous,
base fuscous; hind femora black with chalybeate tinge.
Head moderately exserted;
mandible gradually curved; aclypeus narrow, transverse; clypeus marked off from
frons by a deep crescentric sulcus; frons with 2 parallel median carinae that
extended to vertex, interspace canaliculate; temple deep, coarsely puncto-striate;
gula closely and densly punctate, piliferous; neck glossy, glabrous. Antenna stout, extended a little beyond
base of elytra in ; scape pyriform, curved at base, glossy and glabrous;
lateral side of 3 - 10 carinate externally, each segment somewhat 3-sided, more
prominent at basal segments; segment 3 - 5 greatly dialted, 6 - 11 gradually
attenuate; 2 & 3 entirely pubescent; endolateral of 4 - 6 tomentose; 4 - 10
angulate ectoapically, each furnished with a fine ectoapical setae. Prothorax elongated, 1.5 X as long as
wide; base deeply constricted, to a less degree at apex; transversely rugose on
basal constriction; apex with a transverse pubescent band, extended to side;
posterior of pronotum coarsely punctate with 2 asperated protuberance at each side;
area between apex and punctuated portion at base nitid and glabrous. Scutellum elongated; apex truncate.
Elytron strongly dehiscent posteriorly; side sinuate, slightly incurved at
middle; acuminate at apex; humeral angle prominent, nitid; disc with a
triangular translucent patch, glossy with few scattered punctures, marked of at
outer margin by lateral deflexion; peripery purplish margin finely punctulate
except area near scutellum which is coarsely punctate. Undersurfaces : sterna subpubescent; anterior 1/3 of prosternum
glabrous; posterior portion coarsely punctate, somewhat asperate; intercoxal
process narrow between coxae, extremely dilated at posterior; epimeron expended
and produced inwards to be joint with it; mesosternum punctate; metasternum
glabrous, sparsely punctulate; intercoxal
process of metathorax broad, as wide as width of fore coxae; abdominal segments
nitid. Legs : femora peduncle-clavate, clavated apical portion
nitid, peduncle sparsely pubescent;
hind femora extended beyond elytral apex; tibiae curved at base, more prominent
at hind tibiae.
