Diagnostic characters : head not strongly produced anteriorly; neck long, half the length of entire head; eyes and antennal insertion widely separated; antennae shorter than body, filiform; segment 3 as long as or shorter than 4+5 combined; 6 - 10 filiform, feebly angulate ectoapically; prothorax oblong cylindrical, side parallel, base weakly constricted; elytra very much elongated, parallel-sided, apex truncate and bispinose; femora peduncle-clavate; hind femora not extended beyond elytral apex; episternum of metathorax narrow to a point at posterior.

Head entirely black with longitudinal whitish pubescence stripe beside eyes and a transverse one on clypeus; antennae dark brown, segment 7 - 8 testaceous; 9 - 11 fuscous; prothorax reddish-helvus, sometimes bordered with black at apex, side and base; scutellum white; elytra black with yellowish longitudinal submedian stripe running from base to apex on each elytron; pro-, meso- and metasternum, abdomen contrastingly clothed with dense silky argentate adpressed pubescence; legs fuscous; all coxae with dense silky argentate pubescence.

Head constricted behind eyes; labrum transverse, narrow, punctate; aclypeus obsolete; clypeus same plane as frons, pubescent; frons rectangular, parallel-sided, surfaces coarsely and sparsely punctate; lateral side with pubescent stripe; vertex wide, planate, punctate; inner margin of anternnifer strongly raised above vertex. Antenna at most extended to 3/4 of elytra; filiform, apical segments somewhat thicken; 1 - 5 punctulate; 6 - 11 densely clothed with micropubescence; segment 3 a little longer than scape, as long as 4+5 combined; 4 & 5 subequal; 6 - 11 successively shorten; 6 half as long as 3. Prothorax oblong cylindrical; apex and base feebly constricted, less prominent on apex; side shallowly bisinuate; pronotum uniformly and coarsely punctate, investitus. Scutellum elongated; apex truncate. Elytron extremely elongated; 8.2 X as long as broad; parallel-sided; 1/7 of apex gradually narrower and truncate; apex bispinose, spine long and sharp; apipleura obsolete; submedian yellowish stripe costate; disc with 3 longitudinal rows of ordinate punctures between suture and yellowish costate; 4 longitudinal rows of punctures between it and external margin. Undersurfaces : clothed with extremely dense adpressed pubescence. Legs : femora peduncle-clavate; hind femora clearly not even extended close to elytra apex; peduncle 2/3 of entire length of respective femora.

Measurement : Length 8.0 - 11.0 mm; breadth 1.5 - 2.0 mm

Distribution : Sarawak; Sumatra; Philippines; Peninsular Malaysia (Malacca).
