Diagnostic characters : frons vertical; head raised between antennal insertion, convex, acutely pointed at both ends; clypeus depressed; upper eye lobe distanct; gena short; antennae longer than body in , ciliated ventrally; prothorax transverse, side concave, rounded; side of prothorax of with a large tomentose depression; elytra rounded at apex; fore femora fusiform, strongly dilated at middle; fore acetabula little angulated; fore coxal cavity opened posteriorly.

Body dark brown with greyish pubescence; entire tibiae fusco-castaneous; femora with slight reddish tinge; tomentum on lateral depression side of prothorax tawny.

Head with a shallow median groove on vertex; mandible short, notched at latero-posterior of base; labrum transverse; frons somewhat roughen, transversely elevated in front, behind it a elongated diamond-shaped depression which is bare; posterior of frons clothed with dense decumbent pubescent; inner antennifer acutely pointed posteriorly. Antenna 2 X as long as body in ; fringed ventrally; scape widen towards apex, punctate, canaliculate near base in ; second segment 1/3 as long as scape; 3 longest, 2.5 X as long as scape; 4 -10 subequal. Prothorax broader than long; dilated laterally, side rounded; widest at middle, as wide as elytra; disc coarsely punctate; pronotum with 4 obstuse tubercles and a median callosity a little behind center; latero-ventral with large triangular tomentose depression; prosternum raised at miffle and transversely striate. Scutellum semicircular, medianly depressed at apex. Elytron 4.5 X as long as broad; disc raised above humeral angle; heavily granulate, denser near suteral half, each granule setiferous; area between granules and marginal half punctate; beside the setae, surface evenly pubescent. Legs : femora fusiform, semicompressed; fore femora strongly dilated at middle; tibiae strongly compressed; apical half gradually widen.
