Euryclelia cardinalis (THOMSON)
Head small, punctate, narrower than prothorax; gena long; clypeus transverse, tomentose, oblique with frons; the latter separated from clypeus by a transverse sulcus or furrow, not reaching side margin at both ends; vertex with a median carnia, sometimes extended to vertex. Antenna shorter than body, extended to 2/3 of elytra; scape subeylindrical, narrower at base, densely punctulate; segment 3 as long as scape; 5 - 10 complanate, carinate laterally and dentate ectoapically. Prothorax broader than long; side acutely tuberculate; base transversely depressed; apical margin inclinate; central of pronotum swollen with a short median glabrous carina and 2 protuberance at each side; disc heavily and coarsely puncto-reticulate. Elytron 3 X as long as broad; parallel-sided; broadly rounded at apex; disc nitid, densely punctate on yellowish portion; blackish apical portion tomentose. Undersurfaces : fore intercoxal process wide with a conical preapical tubercla and bicarinate at side of posterior end; mid intercoxal process strongly tuberculate perapically. Legs : femora fusiform nitid; 1/2 of hind femora extended beyond elytral apex.
Head larger, narrower than
prothorax; mandible huge, greatly carinate and produced dorsally at base;
clypeus depressed, trapezoid, glossy, punctulate; gena exserted, deep and
broad; antennifer swollen. Antenna 2
X as long as body; scape elongated, cylindrical, subnitid, sparsely punctulate;
remaining segments filiform. Prothorax anterior
