Dignostic characters : head relatively small compared with body size; antennal insertion widely separated, ridged in between, concavity; mandible acutely narrower than gena; the latter long; antennae longer than body in both sexes, 3 longer than 4, 4 & 5 subequal; 6 - 11 successively gradually shorten; 3 - 5 or 3 - 6 spined endoapically; prothorax transverse, rounded at sides; latero-dorsal of pronotum feebly tuberculate; elytra parallel-sided, apex broadly rounded; femora fusiform; hind femora subelavate at apical half, not extended or reaching elytra apex; first hind tarsal segment as long as 2+3 united. Note : representative of Sarawakian Rosaliini belongs to the subgenus Eurybatus Thomson, base on the vermilion reddish pubescence, antennal segments without tuffs of hairs and fuly developed adult without dorsal tooth at base of mandible. Key to species of Rosalia in Sarawak 1. Antennal segment 3 - 6 spined

aclypeus large, trapezoid; clypeus planate; scape very gradually thicken at
apex; only tip of latero-dorsal tubercle on pronotum black; apex of elytra
black; each elytron with 3 black dots, one at middle, another 2 near to base. - borneensis ROTHSCHILD & JORDAN, 1893
