Type locality: BMNH 1946.9.7.4.6-10 (five syntypes), "Matang" in "Borneo" (01º 36’N; 110º 11’E, in Kubah National Park, near Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia); BMNH 1946.8.19.54 (syntype), "Sumatra" (in the Greater Sundas, Indonesia), the latter catalogued as from "Agam, Sumatra" (00º 15’S; 100º 05’E, north of Bukittinggi, western Sumatera Province, Indonesia)

Distribution: Mentawei Archipelago, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi and the Philippines Archipelago (Manthey and Grossmann, 1997: 273; Welch et al., 1990: 88).
